Homeless programs benefit from diner donations
San Francisco, September 17, 2003 – For the next two months, patrons at more than 50 San Francisco restaurants will have the opportunity to donate money to programs for at risk San Francisco youth when eating out.
Diners will be given the option to make a $2 donation to StreetSmartUSA when they pay their bill. One hundred of the proceeds will go to support the Larkin Youth Services TASK Program for homeless adolescents and the Huckleberry Youth Program’s project for young girls who are the victims if violence. Participating restaurants include Ana Mandara, Fleur de Lys, Bizou, Big Four, Balboa Cafe, Merenda, Millenium, One Market, Rubicon, Slanted Door and XYZ among many others.
